Shape Up US is Introducing The Hip Hop Healthy Heart Program for Children™ One Module At-A-Time.

  • 25 Professional Development Hours: Our first offering, Module 3: Eat Good Food Dude! gives teachers the opportunity to receive 25 Professional Development Hours if they choose to register for this course through Rio Salado College Online. Upon completion of our entire program, all six modules, teachers will receive a total of 150 Professional Development Hours. (Teachers in Arizona are required to accrue 180 Professional Development Hours every 3 years).
  • Teachers Love the “Eat Good Food Dude!” Nutrition Module! K-6 teachers, home school teachers, fitness instructors and educational group leaders get comprehensive teacher training to give them expertise on the topic and creative lesson plans that can be tailored to meet the needs of their pupils.
  • Seven-Lesson, No Brainer Teaching! To make this complex topic a no-brainer, we have done the organization for you with seven, easy-to-teach, 20-30 minute lessons designed to fit into a week and a half lesson plan.

  • Hands-On Fun Means Multidisciplinary Subject Retention: Our lesson plans, activities and handouts make learning fun. Students learn math, science, geography, language arts, through poetry, music, dance, the graphic arts and physical education. Activities and handouts focus on training students in critical thinking, information analysis, organization, comparison, and synthesis.
  • A Circle of Nutrition Education that Trains Teachers, Students, their Parents and their Community: Eat Good Food Dude! gets parents involved with activity handouts designed to go home for parent involvement.
